Silent Journey

A semester-long third-year university project exploring and creating a web comic, attempting to create a narrative with imagery alone.

‘Silent Journey‘ is a story depicting a trip from my neighbourhood to the University of Canterbury set in an altered, more eerie reality. The purpose behind the story being visually driven, is that it leaves it up to the viewer to try and interpret what has happened and what led to it.

This project explored the idea of creating a narrative purely through visual elements. This was done by manipulating photos and creating small animations to give the viewer a sense that they are travelling with the story and discovering what has happened.
